Alarms Generated by the Integration Software
Overview
ThereareseveraltypesofalarmsthatcanbegeneratedbyCodeBluedevices.Mostalarmswillbe
triggeredwhensomeonemakesacallusingaCodeBluespeakerphonedevice.Otheralarmsalert
securitypersonneltochangesinthestatusofaToolVoxunit.
Call Alarms
AcallinToolVoxcanbedividedintoseparateevents.
1. WhensomeonepressesabuttononaCodeBluedevicetoinitiateacall,thatisthe“dial”
event.TheCodeBluedeviceisdialingatelephonethatsecuritypersonnelwillanswer.
2. Whensecuritypersonnelansweratelephone,aconnectionisestablishedbetweentheCode
Bluespeakerphonedeviceandthetelephone.Whenthishappens,ToolVoxbeginstransmitting
audio.Thisisthe“connect”event.
3. Whenthetwopeopletalkingarenished,thesecuritypersonnelhangsuptheirtelephone.
ToolVoxrecognizesthisandstopstransmittingaudio.Thisisthe“hangup”event.The“hangup”
eventoccursonceforthespeakerphonedevice,andonceforthetelephone,foratotaloftwo
hangupevents.
4. The“disconnect”happensautomaticallyafterthehangupevents.Thespeakerphonedevice
andtelephonereturntotheiroriginalstate,beforethe“dial”event.
ThealarmsgeneratedinSmartClientcorrespondtotheseevents.Alarmsarenotdisplayedforthe
hangupevent.Soforatypicalcall,therearethreealarms:Dialing,Connected,andDisconnected.
ToolVox Status Alarms
AnalarmwillbegeneratedifcommunicationislostbetweentheXProtectEventServerandaToolVox
unitformorethan60seconds.Whencommunicationisrestored,anotheralarmwillappear.
